18 of the World’s Top 20 Players Expected in the Principality

Paris, 10 March 2026 – After the first two ATP Masters 1000 tournaments of the season in the United States, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters will kick off the European clay-court season from 4 to 12 April 2026.

David Massey, the Tournament Director, unveiled the official player entry list for the 119th edition during a press lunch organised at Hôtel Le Poulpry in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of Paris in association with Lenôtre. Melanie-Antoinette de Massy, the President of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, the Monte-Carlo Country Club and the Monegasque Tennis Federation, was also in attendance.

The tournament, played on the clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club overlooking the Mediterranean, marks the first European clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event of the season.

A Tournament with global reach

Like the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Monaco Yacht Show, the entire Principality comes alive for nine days to the rhythm of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.
With 225 million views on social media and 34 million viewers across linear and digital platforms, the tournament attracted more than 150,000 spectators last year, confirming its international appeal.

David Massey took the opportunity to thank all the tournament’s partners, starting with the event’s title sponsor, Rolex. In 2026, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters will continue to rely on the loyalty of major partners, including Emirates, Maserati, Generali, Adecco, Dunlop, Yokohama, Minuty and Tecnifibre, all of whom have renewed their commitment. The 2026 edition will also see the return of Champagne Lanson and the welcome addition of two new partners: the Italian pasta company Rummo and PokerStars, a leading global player in its industry.

This 119th edition will benefit from extensive media coverage, contributing to the international visibility of the Principality of Monaco. In France, Eurosport will broadcast the entire tournament, while France Télévisions will show one match per day on its France.tv platform and the final on France 4. Numerous rights holders will also broadcast the event internationally, including The Tennis Channel, Sky Italia, Sky UK and Sky Germany, while all three courts will be fully televised.

An exceptional player field

Spectators will once again see some of the biggest names in tennis. David Massey has confirmed that 9 of the ATP Top 10 players and 18 of the Top 20 are expected to attend this first major European clay-court event, making it one of the most highly anticipated tournaments of the season.

Those set to compete include defending champion Carlos Alcaraz (No. 1), Jannik Sinner (No. 2), Novak Djokovic (No. 3), Australian Open finalist Alexander Zverev (No. 4), Lorenzo Musetti (No. 5), Alex de Minaur (No. 6), Taylor Fritz (No. 7), Felix Auger-Aliassime (No. 9), Alexander Bublik (No. 10), Daniil Medvedev, Jakub Menšík, Casper Ruud, Jack Draper and Flavio Cobolli.

Fans will also be able to support Monaco’s Valentin Vacherot and welcome back three-time tournament winner Stefanos Tsitsipas. Representing France will be Arthur Rinderknech, Arthur Fils, Corentin Moutet, Ugo Humbert and Adrian Mannarino.

With 45 direct entries, seven qualifiers and four wild cards, the singles main draw will feature 56 players alongside 28 doubles teams, ensuring one of the most competitive weeks of the season.

Monaco Tennis on the Rise

This edition will also showcase the growing popularity of tennis in Monaco.
Last year, the Principality celebrated the success of Romain Arneodo and Manuel Guinard in the doubles category, after they won the 2025 title with a wildcard entry. Meanwhile, Hugo Nys made headlines in 2023 when he won the Rome Masters 1000 alongside Jan Zieliński of Poland.
In the singles category, Valentin Vacherot achieved a breakthrough in 2025 by reaching the final of the Rolex Shanghai Masters, becoming the first Monegasque player to reach a main tour final. He has been granted a direct entry into the 2026 main draw and can expect strong local support.
They will all reunite with the national Davis Cup team in September for a decisive tie against Finland, aiming to reach the Davis Cup Final Qualifiers.

Modernised facilities for an unrivalled experience

Founded in 1897, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters continues to evolve to provide an increasingly exclusive experience for players and spectators alike.
• While the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort remains the tournament’s official hotel, the Monte-Carlo Beach Club will once again be fully privatised and transformed into a Players’ Village for the second consecutive year. This unique space is dedicated to players, their teams and their families. The area has been expanded to include a new 320 m² gym and quiet zone.
• On the public side, the spectator experience will be enhanced with a redesigned village, equipped with new screens for watching matches live, as well as a new relaxation area on the tournament site.
• In terms of technology, the tournament will once again use the Electronic Line Calling Live system, which is based on Hawk-Eye technology and detects out balls in real time through a network of high-precision cameras. Video Review will also allow instant verification of certain decisions. Moreover, a system called HawkVision will be deployed for the television production. Featuring 60 digitally unified cameras, it will provide a unique view of the court from just behind the players.

A commitment to solidarity

Since 2023, the tournament has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility through the ‘Points for Change’ initiative in partnership with BNP Paribas, which combines sporting performance with philanthropic engagement. In 2025, the initiative raised €37,204 for GEMLUC (the Monaco Group of Companies in the Fight Against Cancer). This year, the aim is to fund external breast prostheses for patients treated for breast cancer at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre.
