Krawietz & Puetz Win Doubles Title

12.04.2026

Tim Puetz and Kevin Krawietz came up clutch in a match tie-break for the second consecutive match to claim the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters doubles title Sunday.

The German duo won a second ATP Masters 1000 crown with a 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 victory over Marcelo Arevalo and 2021 champion Mate Pavic, following a 10-8 match tie-break win in the semi-finals over Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

After breaking serve three times in the second set, Krawietz and Puetz became the first all-German team to secure the Monte-Carlo title since Boris Becker and Michael Stich in 1992.

“It’s a great start to the clay-court season for us. It’s probably our favourite surface, even though we probably haven’t done as well as we would have liked,” said Puetz.

“Overall it’s been a great week for us and hopefully we can keep it up and keep it rolling in the coming weeks.”

Krawietz said that he was pleased with how quickly the team turned the match around after dropping the opening set. “Doubles is so quick and can change so much. We found [three] breaks in the second set.”

Krawietz and Puetz have now won six team titles, including the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals (where they twice defeated Arevalo and Pavic) and the 2025 Rolex Shanghai Masters.

Krawietz improved to 14-12 in doubles finals. Eight titles have come on clay, including 2019 and 2020 Roland Garros crowns with Andreas Mies.

Puetz is now 13-13 in doubles final after claiming his third Masters 1000. (He also won 2021 Pars with Michael Venus).
