Jakub Mensik has withdrawn from the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters with a right toe injury. The Czech has been replaced in the draw by Bosnian lucky loser Damir Dzumhur.
Last year’s Miami Open champion is the fourth player to withdraw before his first match this week. Kamil Majchrzak (right knee), Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (right wrist) and Frances Tiafoe (back) had earlier been forced out.
Ethan Quinn, Matteo Arnaldi and Roberto Bautista Agut all came in as lucky losers. Bautista Agut was himself forced to retire today just four games into his match with Matteo Berrettini.
