Corentin Moutet booked his spot in the main draw at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters on Sunday when he clawed past former semi-finalist David Goffin 2-6, 7-6(4), 7-5 in a second-round qualifying epic.
The entertaining Frenchman will make his second appearance in The Principality following his mammoth three-hour, 31-minute win. Moutet will be joined by Mariano Navone and Daniel Altmaier in the main draw.
Navone, who has reached two tour-level finals on clay, beat Arthur Rinderknech 6-0, 6-7(5), 6-1, while Altmaier defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert 7-6(3), 6-3.
Argentine Camilo Ugo Carabelli overcame the former Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF champion Hamad Medjedovic 7-5, 6-4 and China’s Buyunchaokete eliminated Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-4, 6-4 at the clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event. Former finalist Dusan Lajovic moved past Laslo Djere 6-4, 6-2 and Fabian Marozsan beat Mattia Bellucci 6-1, 6-2.
