Paris, March 12, 2024 – At an exclusive luncheon held in the prestigious salons of Pré Catelan Lenôtre, Tournament Director David Massey unveiled on Tuesday the roster of players for the 2024 edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters. This legendary tennis tournament will take place from April 6 to April 14, 2024, kicking off the clay court season at the iconic Monte-Carlo Country Club under the presidency of Miss Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy.

Launched in 1897 and held annually at the Monte-Carlo Country Club since 1928, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters marks the start of the European tennis season in the Principality. It is the first ATP Masters 1000 event on European soil, offering high-level competition and a unique experience to players and tennis fans worldwide.

Long-standing partners, including Rolex, BNP Paribas, Emirates, Maserati, and many others, have renewed their commitment to the tournament, underscoring its significance on the international tennis stage. It’s worth noting that the Tournament is broadcast worldwide, attracting over 140,000 visitors, 38.4 million viewers, and 167.1 million social media views. For this 117th edition, Eurosport will once again broadcast all matches. This will be complemented by France Télévisions, which will air one match per day on its france.tv platform and the final on France 4, as well as many other international broadcasters including Sky Italia, Sky UK, and Sky Germany.

Top 10 Players: An Exceptional Field

David Massey announced that the Top 10 in the ATP rankings have entered to play the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, led by Serbian Novak Djokovic (No. 1), who had an almost perfect year in 2023, winning three Grand Slam titles, followed by young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (No. 2) and Jannik Sinner (No. 3), winner of the Australian Open. Daniil Medvedev (No. 4), Andrey Rublev (No. 5), who won his first Masters 1000 title last year in Monaco, Alexander Zverev (No. 6), Holger Rune (No. 7), 2023 finalist, Hubert Hurkacz (No. 8), Casper Ruud (No. 9), Alex de Minaur (No. 10), and not forgetting two-time Monaco clay victor Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 11), will all be present.

As for the highly anticipated Rafael Nadal, David Massey remains optimistic about the participation of the Majorcan, who is expected to make his grand return to clay at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, a tournament he holds dear and has won no less than eleven times.

From France, most players, including Ugo Humbert (No. 14), crowned in Dubai and newly entered into the ATP Top 15, Adrian Mannarino (No. 21), Arthur Fils (No. 43), will be present. The final draw will be completed by 7 players from the qualifying rounds, as well as 4 wild cards, totaling 56 players.

The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters: A Renewed Experience

Continuing the new village set up last year, the 2024 edition offers innovations designed to enrich the experience of spectators and participants. Among these, an expanded dining offer with a new covered dining area, as well as the introduction of a “click & collect” fast-food service.

On the final Sunday, VIP Village spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by the triple Michelin-starred chef Frédéric Anton, a leading figure in contemporary French cuisine.

David Massey also announced that the Tournament continues to support the GEMLUC association (Monaco Business Group Against Cancer), which funds research and state-of-the-art equipment.

More than just a tournament, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is not only a celebration of sport but also of excellence and tradition, with this year marking the 30th edition of the Grande Nuit du Tennis.
