Singles stars Zverev, Tsitsipas, Draper headline Monte-Carlo doubles field

05.04.2025

Top 10 singles stars Alexander Zverev, Jack Draper, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev and Alex de Minaur will all take to court in doubles at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

Zverev reached the final with Marcelo Melo at the clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event last year, losing to Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen. Teaming with the Brazilian again, they will face Miami finalists Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool in the first round.

Tsitsipas, a three-time singles champion in The Principality, joins forces with brother Petros Tsitsipas. The Greeks take on Christian Harrison and Evan King in the first round and will play the winner of Melo/Zverev vs. Cash/Glasspool.

Draper teams with Tomas Machac, with the British-Czech pair meeting Sebastian Korda and Jordan Thompson in the first round. Rublev won the ATP Masters 1000 doubles event on clay in Madrid with Karen Khachanov in 2023. Teaming again in Monte-Carlo, they play sixth seeds Nikola Mektic and Michael Venus.

De Minaur will compete alongside Jan-Lennard Struff. The Australian-German duo takes on Yuki Bhambri and Alexei Popyrin in the first round.

Top seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic became just the sixth team in history to win the ‘Sunshine Double’ when they triumphed in Indian Wells and Miami last month. Aiming to continue their winning run on clay, they will play Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul or Robert Galloway and Jackson Withrow in the first round.

Doubles action stars on Sunday, the same day as first-round singles action.
